MONEY MONEY MONEY
Do not give a rats ass about it, it does not bring joy, it does not bring happiness, nor love............ and the list goes on of wonderful things is does not and will never bring. Basically it is just a tool we use to trade for things we want or need. Shall I continue??? .................... it does not inspire nor does it care if you have it or not. The question I ask is; why is it so dam limiting to not have it? The lack of money can bring so much pain, frustration and anger into ones life. Generally in this mad world :) :) :) (which I love) we are not taught how to deal with it, how to save it and very importantly how to make it. I say to myself; I do not give a crap about money and it brings me nothing, at the same time I feel frustrated when I can not afford to go on holiday, buy a nice new jacket or in extreme situations pay the bills, go for a coffee or even do a bloody food shop. I will be the first to raise my hand and say I was not educated in 'how to deal with money'. I am still convinced I will not let it run my life, I will continue with goals, dreaming and living on the hope it will one day be more of a running flowing source straight into my bank account. I once heard someone say, the amount of money you earn is a direct way to measure the amount of service you provide for the world. Hmmm do you agree? .............do I agree? interesting topic, I guess I could blab for pages and pages but I will not do so ..............today. :)

Personally, I think the amount of money you earn is the level of respect that is shown to you. That is one of the reasons women often get payed less. And with all the hard work and time dancers put into rehearsing, performances, even class I always feel they don't get adequately respected. In addition, you don't get to be a dancer all your life - and most often people do not help dancers at the end of their dance career. That said, I do admire dancers how they live and work solely through the admiration of their audience and the respect of their fellow dancers. That they live through their talent and creativity. I deeply admire that.
ReplyDeleteFor me, money means security in a certain way. And I can buy time for it. Meaning, I don't need a villa or a Porsche or whatever. But if I had money I would have a housekeeper so I could spend time with my family instead of doing housework or buying groceries. To me that kind of work pulls all the energy out of me!!
Great blob, BTW.
Take care,
Nicole (the chubby non-dancer in your Wednesday class)
